GRENADINES DIVE

You cannot beat the location. We are sure of that. The Grenadines are a host of small islands grouped together on a brilliant turquoise sea. Our base on Union Island is in the center of the group of reef fringed sandy islands. They are visible in almost every direction and we can reach them in a few minutes in our high speed dive boats.

Beaches are spectacular; After dive activities are low key. The islands are dotted with friendly bars. There are many small restaurants and once or twice a week a band is likely to put on a show in one of the local hotels.

Reefs flourish everywhere. In addition to the ones you see there are many others 30 to 40 feet deep. Most reefs are surrounded by white sand which catches the sunlight and makes the underwater colors bright and clear, with panoramas that barely fade in the distance. Most of our dives are relaxing and easy but we have some adventurous dives, too. One is a volcanic valley, 90 feet deep, where the seabed continually bubbles, releasing gases from deep in the earth.

Grenadines Dive is owned and managed my Glenroy Adams. Glenroy is from a well known seafaring family. His father built and operated the famous Friendship Rose, a two-masted schooner that for over 20 years carried mail, passengers and cargo up and down the islands. Glenroy carries the seafaring tradition underwater. He fell in love with diving and studied in the States to become a NAUI instructor.

Grenadines Dive is an efficient operation catering to small groups where individuals can help choose their dives. Instructors are NAUI or PADI professionals and instruction is available- from resort courses to full certification.

Location / dive shop: across island in Union Island. PU: boat at Palm Island.
Boats: 3 to take up to 12 divers per boat. No decompression dives.
Encourage diving w / computers (multi level).
Boat leaves at 10AM / returns around 1PM

Resort course: $75
Referral course: add $75 for the 4 required dives to any dive package.
       (not incl.: PIC envelope)
Full certification: $550 w/5 or 6 hrs study / day and 5 dives (incl. all equipment. )
About 30 sites / 30 mn away (very rarely any current)
Pick-up gear on first day, then gear can stay at dive shop, for cleaning and storage.
